Focus On Getting the Job Done Instead of Flatbed Trailer Maintenance

Flatbed trailers are the work horses of the trucking industry. They transport some of the most unforgiving cargo on the roads. Heavy items like construction equipment or concrete pipe, and building materials that are difficult to secure. All tied down to an open platform that’s moving fast over often-times bad roads, or stopping and starting due to traffic. Challenging work under the best conditions, but work that needs to be done to keep your business and the economy moving.

So you can focus on getting the job to the finish line, instead of trailer maintenance, DCI Fleet offers a wide range of flatbed trailer services, all under one roof.

Preventative Maintenance - As they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Minimize breakdowns and extend longevity with DCI Fleet’s preventative maintenance program. We’ll put your trailer on a program inline with OEM guidelines to keep it safe, compliant, and performing well over the long haul. This pro-active approach prevents downtime and potential towing expenses. These records are also helpful for protecting trailer resale value.

Structural Repairs - One of the three categories that FCMSA uses to define cargo securement in their regulations is vehicle structure. This includes floors, walls, decks, tie-down anchor points, headboards, bulkheads, stakes, posts, and anchor points. DCI Fleet repairs and replaces decking of all types, from apitong wood to diamond plate steel to custom. Our certified welders and metal shop can fabricate parts using an in-house CNC plasma cutter. They can also fabricate racks, ladders and enclosures. We repair trailer frames, crossbars, header boards, bulkheads, side-rails and ramps. Count on us to keep the tie-downs, stakes, posts and anchor points you rely on to secure cargo in proper working condition.

Flatbed Re-Deck, Sandblast and Paint

Flatbed Re-Deck, Sandblast and Paint

Bodywork, Sandblast and Painting - Years of operation can result in rust and corrosion damage to your flatbed’s underside. Trailer components are often damaged though collisions, accidental impacts, and everyday wear and tear. All of these can weaken your trailers structural integrity. Our body work services range from smaller dents and bent components through repairs to the frame and cross-members, or refurbishment of the entire unit. We can also repair collision damage of all types. Certified technicians will sand blast and paint the underside of your trailer in our 15’ x 15’ x 50’ paint booth to protect it from corrosion, and enhance appearance and vehicle lifespan.

Trailer Wheels and Axles - There’s a lot riding on the wheels, brakes, and axles of your flatbed trailers. They have to be able to support and stop heavy payloads under all conditions...without fail. DCI Fleet’s technicians will keep your tires, bearings, suspension, and hydraulics operating reliably and smoothly. For brakes we’ll check and service the drums and lining, slack adjusters, s-cams, bearings and all other components to ensure safety and minimize wear.

Other Components - DCI Fleet has the experience, equipment and professional staff to keep your flatbed trailers on the road and working for you. From lift gates, fork lift carriers, and ramps through tool, motor, and pump enclosures, our in house fabrication department can repair or rebuild them all. We also troubleshoot wiring, switches and lighting and can service or install new king pins and accessories.
