Does My Truck Have to be Repaired by the Company it’s Leased From?

Many fleet managers believe that only their leasing company is authorized to do bodywork or repair collision damage to their leased trucks and semi-trailers. They assume the process is similar to their personal leased vehicles where “the leasing company handles everything”. If the company has signed an exclusive contract with their leasing company, that’s probably true, but in many cases managers have another choice.

Approved Vendors of the Leasing Company are Also Authorized to Repair Collision Damage

DCI Fleet works with Ryder, Penske, Bentley, Miller, ARI, Enterprise and other regional and national leasing companies as an approved vendor. This means we are authorized by the leasing company to directly provide collision repair work for the trucks and trailers they lease to you. We have demonstrated to the leasing companies that we will provide the high quality work they demand, and they have certified us as an approved vendor for collision repair.

DCI Fleet Provides Some Robust Benefits Compared to a Leasing Company

We get it...there’s never time to “call around” and wait for quotes when you have a vehicle out-of-service. But here are some reasons why contacting DCI Fleet is worthwhile.

  • Less Expensive - Reduce costs by dealing with DCI Fleet directly instead covering the overhead the leasing company incurs processing and outsourcing the repair.

  • High Quality Repairs - As an approved vendor, the leasing company has certified that our facility and technicians provide a quality repair. We have 30 years experience repairing collision damage to commercial vehicles.

  • More Control - If you have a specific timeline, or input on how you would like something done we’ll do our best to accommodate you. Plus, we’ll stay in touch throughout the entire process with updates and progress photos.

  • It’s All We Do - We’re totally focused on repairing fleet collision damage. We’ve been the regional leader since 1989 and our core values show why. Pretty much the only services we don’t provide are engine and transmission repair.

Full Disclosure: We May be Repairing Your Truck or Trailer Anyway

Since we are a preferred vendor for many leasing companies they often send their customers’ trucks and semi-trailers to us for bodywork and collision repairs. We work with all major insurance companies and provide the following fleet services: collision repair; fleet refinishing including sandblasting, paint shop, and graphics; semi-trailer service and maintenance; and lift gate sales and service.
