New Equipment Expands In-House Fabrication Capability at DCI Fleet

DCI Fleet has invested in new fabrication equipment to provide quick turnarounds and reduce delays due to parts and materials shortages. Our full-service metal shop puts us a step above most repair centers. We can now fabricate a wider range of more complex parts in-house to ensure top-quality while keeping your truck body, trailer, and heavy equipment repair moving along.

Rustin Cassway, President of DCI Fleet says:

“It is critical to the life blood of manufacturers to invest in technology. This funding allowed us to secure “state of the art” metal fabricating equipment that will not only support operational efficiencies for us but will also help lower our energy consumption and shrink our carbon footprint, to the benefit of us all.”

High-Tech Equipment Increases Quality, Reduces Lead Times

Messer FiberBlade V High Speed CNC Laser Cutter

Our new Messer FiberBladeV high speed CNC laser cutter produces a finer level of detail for more intricate shapes and smaller holes on a broader range of materials than the plasma cutter we recently retired. It also makes cleaner cuts, saving time by eliminating the need for finishing work to the cutout. The FiberBladeV cuts mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum from .5 mm to .78 inches thick on a 60“ x 120” table.

DCI Fleet’s New Bystronic Xpert Pro 250 Press Brake

DCI Fleet has also invested in a New Xpert Pro 250 ton sheet metal bending machine by Bystronic with a 14’ bed. This new press brake’s cutting-edge technology enables us to reliably repeat the same bend every time quickly and accurately. It has a higher processing speed, fast clamping system, and outstanding accuracy due to an optical laser and camera based measuring system. The new brake joins our other two brakes and our shear with a 12’ bed.

When the new brake is used with the new laser cutter, fenders, wheel wells, frames, bulkheads and other components can be fabricated quicker and easier with a superior level of fit and finish. Added to the fabrication equipment already in our modern 50,000 sq. ft. facility and in the hands of our skilled technicians this lineup makes DCI Fleet one of the premier truck body, trailer, and heavy equipment repair centers in the South Jersey, Philly, and Wilmington area.

Other equipment and capabilities include:

  • Robotic MIG Welding Station
